Starting point will be Dance, Theatre and all Performing Arts.
Other areas: literature, poetry, music, visuals, cinema..

The project Y+Quasar will start with its presentation in the main towns in Sicily, Palermo and Catania, in between September and October 2008. Core of the meetings is going to be developed in various areas of Sicily from October through December 2008. Our priority aim is to localize rural, historical and traditional areas in Sicily as locations.
This project, as a first phase, results from an earlier international Forum project for performing arts (X4M eaters) to construct a first dialogue among artists that are resident in Sicily and the Mediterranean area.
Themes of the meetings are specific subject inherent artistic, cultural, anthropological, social other than political commitment of whom is involved in art work other than cultural assessment, now days.
The audience is the most important actor in the meeting.
Each meeting last for a weekend during which the invited artists (8 of most artistic disciplines each weekend) will mediate the discourses raised from the 4 open round tables taking place during the weekend. The full program of the weekend will join the artists, the people from/in the village hosting the meeting and the audience coming from outside in a full time workshop.
Unusual performative feedbacks from the 8 invited artists will be the achieve for each meeting, resuming it.
Also AGO and the association partners of this project will provide a web and video archive resuming the results of the meetings.
Three meeting are foreseen at the moment, but a spread out of the idea in other countries is one of the main AGO’s purpose.
